This computer needs to be reformatted - if XP-home has been activated here,
is this possible - there's something about a 120 time period or something

You can reactivate XP on the same computer as many times as you want. At
worst, there may be a 5 minute toll free call required, but only if the
hardware has substantially changed. The 120 day time limit is just the
amount of time they hold your activation record on their servers for, after
that, it doesn't matter how much your hardware has changed, you will be able
to activate over the internet...

If it's been less than 120 days yo usually have to call,
no big deal.

Carry on. You can reactivate as many times as you like on the same, or
substantially the same, hardware, - see www.aumha.org/win5/a/wpa.htm

The 120 days is the time from last activation on the net when the record
is dropped, so you can activate again on the net on totally different
hardware (though this does *not* entitle you to have it on two
machines). If you do it earlier on different hardware you will have to
phone the toll free number to explain
