I am very much a rookie at this. I have been searching everywhere for
information for connecting via RD and VPN. Our office building has a T1
routed via wired Linksys Router throughout the building. I recently added a
wireless router a D-Link 624 that I had available. I can access everything
from the building both via RD and VPN. I can ping all ips (default gateways
of the Linksys and the D-Link and the host computer). The problem is
accessing the the host from outside the office (at home for example) I can
cannot ping anything and assume that the problem lies first in getting past
the initial router. I have opened ports on the host to 3389 and forwarded
both the Linksys and the D-link to the ip of the host. I believe this is
where the problem is (the forwarding from one router to the next and finally
to the host.) I read something about bridging one of the routers. Not
certain whether this is possible with my DI-624 and if it is how do I do it.
This link was helpful but didn't entire help me.

The Linksys Default gateway is xx.x.0.1
The D-Link WAN is on the same sequence xx.x.0.100
The Router gateway default is xxx.168.0.1 (a different ip sequence)
And finally the Host computer is xxx.168.0.101
I have the D-link WAN forwarding to the host on port 3389. I'm trying to
access the Host via the VPN or RD via D-link routers WAN address xx.x.0.100.
Apologize for the long message. Hope somebody here can make some sense of
it and show me where I'm going wrong.
Thanks
