Hi I'm trying to connect an NT4 Laptop Sp6 to a W2K sp4 Exchange Server via a W2K RRAS Server
But when dial I get a 649-error saying that I have a valid user name and password but the account does not have permission to dial in.
The account has dial in permissions set on the NT4 Laptop and when I dial in with a W2K Laptop using the same account, I connect every time and can send and receive mail
It looks like the problem is with the NT4 Laptop but I have tried all the settings
Can any one help me please

The account should have dial in permissions set on the server machine and
not the client machien i.e. your laptop. Are the user credentials the same
for both the NT4 laptop and the W2K laptop including the domain? I have
observed this error only when the account does not have dialin permissions
at the server end.

Note:
You could look at this KB article which talks about this problem
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=266460

Thanks,
Sharoon
