RAR File Recovery

I have lost volume 4 of a 5 volume set of RAR files. Is there any freeware
program to view RAR volumes one at a time. WinRAR expects you have a valid
backup and makes you supply the file or cancel the extract when you hit the
missing volume.

You could try copying one of other volumes and renaming it as the missing
file. The program will report crc error, bat it may continue extraction.

Good idea - but the crc error stops WinRAR's extraction. Thanks for trying.

OT: Use the 'keep broken file' option in Winrar
On topic: Use 7zip or Tugzip to extract the partial file, or use the
command line version of Rar, which is freeware.
