This is something that has bothered me for a very long time
so any insight would be appreciated.
For the sake of argument use this example: right-click a
blank spot on your desktop. Choose Properties. The
Display Properties box opens up. Note where, in relation
to the top/bottom/sides of your screen that this box opens.
Close the box.
Now repeate the above steps. Does the box open in the same
position? No. No matter where you position any such box
it never, EVER, opens in the same position. Further, if
you reposition the box, close it and then reopen it, it
does not open where you last moved it.
In my case every time I open such a box it appears to the
upper left of my screen and every time I have to grab it
and drag to where I want. This gets tiresome and
frustrating having to do this every time.
The only box that doesn't do this is the command prompt and
only because you can actually set the coordinates where you
want it open. Is there something similar for general
dialogue boxes?
This situation happens both at home and at work.
