Why would my pc re start during games? It only happens when I play Age of Empires. I have plenty of memory and free space on hard drive, could it be to do with the refresh rate of my monitor? Any clues would help.

your system could be overheating, have you got any case fans ? whats the ambient temp like ?

Like Me_2001 says could be overheating or bad RAM, or a weak PSU.

Sorry, not enough Hardware information ...

Sounds like overheating due to a cooling problem on your graphics card...probably a bust fan

But er... we need to know what your hardware is really.

:D

thank you all for the advice, I have checked temp and fans are working, ambient temp is quite warm but not extreme however, random re start never occurs EXCEPT when I am playing age of empires, PC is often on for long periods when I am working and nothing untoward happens. Rush, how would I check for bad ram?
My hardware: 933 mhz pentium 3 running windows xp pro 80gb hard driv 512mb ram . Belarc advisor tells me my bus clock is 133 megahertz, could that be to slow for games? thanks again for the input i appreciate your thoughts.
