Random Re-booting

I have a computer with an AMD 2500+ processor, a MSI K7N2G-
L motherboard, 512 MB of Geil PC3200 RAM and is running
Windows XP Home. It has a history of random re-booting
along with frequent lock-ups. I tried to reinstall
Windows XP but it did not correct the problem. Please
help.

In control panel---system---advanced---change error recovery so that you can
investigate the error when it occurs.
Your error recovery is set to 'reboot on error'. Don't forget to look in the
event viewer when the error occurs.
