random hang/freeze Win2K OS

The system freezes or hangs up randomly. Could be 7 times
in an hour or 1 time in seven. It hangs while using
various programs or while just sitting there with only the
desktop up.

I have checked the disk for errors or problems, run a
hardware check program for hardware integrity and have all
the current OS updates.

Anybody have any suggestions on what to do next?
