ok i want/need to upgrade my ram @ the moment i have some cheepo stick of 512mb ram in my machine and apparently a good stick of ram +an extra 512 mb will increase my systems preformance by a fair bit. So my specs are
amd x2 3800
asus a8v mb
512mb ram(would like to replace with 1 gb)

ok so the mb has 4 ram slots, supports dual channel etc.. so i would just like to know which brand to get. I dont want to burst the bank but i want a solid piece of hardware. Is corasir value select any good??

thanks in advance

Corsair Value Select has good compatability and performance, get yourself 2 x 512MB PC3200 DDR400 for about £65.00 or a matched pair of Corsair TWINX specifically for Dual Channel for around £90 :thumb:
