RAID upgrage

Windows 2000 server with SCSI drives (DELL). I have purchased a RAID
controller and additional drives. Currently, the whole system in on one
drive, (going to 3). Can I install the controller and configure RAID 5 and
not loose my data. I will still be using one logical drive.

Or are there some techniques?

thanks,

Hi,

It's a dangerous operation as we don't know the adapter model as well as
whether there's special driver/setting requirement on the controller to get
functional in Win2K server. Even if there is existing RAID-5 and performing
drive expansion supported by vendor utility, there still have the chance of
getting data corruption, so full backup is always recommended before proceed.
To safeguard your data, it's always recommended to perform formal data
migration in this case.
