Radio 9800 Pro

Can anyone help me with Monitor refresh rates, i have just switch from
Nvidia to Ati 9800Pro card, and i'm trying to get my games playing at
1024x768 at 100hz refresh.

Nvidia drivers let you set the refresh for each individual resolution,
but i'm having problems doing this with ATI

i'm using latest catalyst, my 17" Belinea monitor supports: (its a bit
old now)

640x480 @85hz
800x600 @85hz
1024x768 @100hz
1280x1024 @75hz

My desktop is set to 1024x768 @100hz, but when i play games at this
res its only going to 85hz?

can anyone help please

Goto display properties\settings\advanced\displays and click on your
monitor. Uncheck Use DDC. Now set refresh rate, should take and stay
there.

What dose the 'Refresh rate Override' do on the same tab?

Well i tried PhxGrunges method but no success, it keeps defaulting to
75hz, but my desktop works fine at 100hz, 1024x768, which is the
maximum the monitor can do at that res, but even at 800x600 and
640x480 ir still does 85hz, only at 1280x1024 is it capped at 75hz.

so why is it defaulting to 75hz when i'm playing in 1024x768

any other ideas/help would be appreciated.
