Radeon 9800 XT

I have a Radeon 9800 XT 256 RAM in Dell 3.2 2000 RAM. Silent Hill 2 is so
very slow that I cannot play it.

Anybody have any ideas why?

EVERY other game I have--Max Payne 2, Flight Sim 2004, etc. run perfectly
smooth--all bells and whistles.

Out of ideas-- Help please.

Don't know much about Silent Hill 2, but given that everything else runs
perfectly with your 9800XT, it would seem that the game needs a patch. If
it's DirectX 9, perhaps it has been coded incorrectly.

Take the 9800 XT back and get a 9800 Pro and spend your money somewhere
