Radeon 9800 Crashes

I've had a Radeon 9800 NP since September and has worked fine until I got
a new motherboard a couple of weeks ago. I got the SOYO KT600 Dragon Plus.
I have been having severe stability problems since.Whenever I use a game or
program that uses some sort of 3d accelaration or has a lot of movent, Even
swithing quickly between windows, the computer either freezes, goes to a
blank screen, restarts, or shows thousands of screens.

I have tried sending my mobo back and getting a replacement -- didnt work.
Switched from 8x to 4x -- didnt work
Turned down the 3d accelartion of display settings -- doesnt work.

It also did it with the 3.8 cat drivers. I have the mobo drivers installed
also.

I have the newest catalyst drivers 4.1 or whatever they are. I've e-mailed
ATI tech support but that stuff doesnt work or makes it worse.
I have windows xp sp1 with a 2.0ghrtz AMD ATHLON XP 2400+ with 1.5 Gigs ram.

Any Ideas??

Thanks!!!

The 8x to 4x solves it for many people - I see you checked that - you may
want to verify it under your ATI settings to keep it that way as you try
additional settings. Don't forget to update the bios on your motherboard.
The other is changing the settings for VPU recover.

Hmmm did you re-install Windows? Most folks think it's a rather drastic
measure, but if i have this kind of probs, i'll rather do that than spend
hours and hours of fruitless work...

What about you're power supply ? Mine would crash like that to till i
got a new power supply and since you put in a new motherboard it might
need more power to run everything

I also found this article for you it's about the 9700 pro but it might
work for you http://www.soyousa.com/kb/kbdesc.php?id=134 it says

If you experience instability or hangup problems with the KT400 Dragon
series or the KT333 Dragon Plus! mainboards when using an ATI 9700
card, try increasing the AGP voltage from 1.5 to 1.6 volt.

I know it says kt400 but go to the web page says the same thing for
you're motherboard
