Radeon 7500 disables hibernate

I have a HP Pavillion xt926 that I have upgraded to Windows XP Pro.

I just installed an ATI Radeon 7500 card. The card works fine.
The problem is that now I cannot use the hibernate mode in XP. The
option is grayed out.

I used System Restore to roll back to get the hibernate mode
accessible again so I am sure it is the card's fault.

Has anyone seen this? How can I keep the card and have hibernate
capability?

Try reinstalling the drivers or even rebooting after installation of the
drivers.
