ATI Support

I am disappointed with ATI's decision not to support the RADEON 7500
video card for XP. From what I can tell the card has what it needs to
support the Aero effects in Vista but no drivers. This is not the first
time I have been forced to purchase a new video card because ATI has
not support their older cards. NVIDIA cards from this time period have
drivers for Vista. So it will be an NVIDIA card I buy.

Support you cards or lose your customers!

I don't think that the 7500 does have what Vista requires. First, it
requires Pixel shader 2, and the 7500 does not have that, and, second,
it requires at least 128MB of video memory, and I don't think that any
7500's have more than 64MB.

I don't think that there was an option; the 7500 is just too old.

The Radeon 7500 is a rebadged Radeon DDR, the first generation of cards to
bear the Radeon name, from the Geforce2 era (7-8 years ago). It has hardware
support for DirectX 7, which doesn't meet Microsoft's requirements to run
the Aero effects. I don't know where you got your information.

nVidia cards from this time period?

You need a minimum of a Geforce6 card to run Vista. Even the GeforceFX
5-series are not supported. I certainly hope you are not a troll, just
horribly misinformed.
