Quotation Marks problem

All of a sudden, my Windows XP (SP2) has stopped recognizing file paths
without quotation marks. What could it be?
All the programs I had in the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENT VERSION\RUN don't run
automaticly because of that. I've also got some file types problem as well
and I think this is the only reason (it can't find the path anymore cos
they're all without quotation marks).
Is there a workarround for this? i've already updated everything possible at
windows update website.

Hi Kelly,

I'm sorry, it's not SP2, but SP1. I had everything working fine in here and
then I noticed that some programs were not being lauched automaticly with
windows. I went to the registry key mentioned in my first message and I saw
that all the programs that couldn't be launched didn't have these quotation
marks at the beginning nor at the end of the exe path. Of course I did it
manually, but these programs have automatic updates in there and they set it
back without the quotation marks. Then I found out that the problem was more
serious because some file association settings have the same no quotation
marks set in there and they wouldn't lauch the correspondent application.
I don't know either something has replaced these settings removing the
quotation marks or if windows itself can't find the correct exe file without
them anymore since they contain spaces inside the paths.
How about your registry settings? Are there paths in your RUN key which
includes spaces without the quotation marks? Can they be found?

Hi,

Export both of these keys and send them to me via email:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
