Problem is Alice people have very short memories. They can't even remember
the problems with XP all they remember is the 'here and now' and the here
and now is vista problems. I had more problems with XP when that was first
released than I have with Vista. I wouldn't go back to XP. I admit I have a
copy of XP on my hard drive (well on a VM actually) but it is there simply
for problem solving, not as a 'working' system.

I wouldn't worry about Vista or XP right now. Your most serious concern is
English.

What some of you guys are willing to accept simply amazes me. A computer
system is a fairly major purchase. If you bought a new car, and the
manufacturer told you he'd have the brakes in working order after a few
patches, what would your reaction be? How about a refrigerator that didn't
get cold or an oven that didn't get hot? Why are consumers expected to pay
top dollar for a defective product and then wait patiently for the
manufacturer to fix it?

Microsoft fans collectively are a rather dumb group of no nothing
lamers. They willing bend over and grab their ankles and actually
smile as Microsoft has it's way with them. Heck, that's the way it's
been from the beginning. Odd.

I dunno, but Vista works like a charm for me and a few other people.

The problem is, the "others" who can't get it working constantly whine and
complain about how it doesn't work for them. They frequently see a Vista
user's post and tell them to "upgrade" to an outdated OS, XP. If they can't
get Vista to work, then they go back to XP for the time being. Fine! We
don't care, as long as they don't try to force their opinion on others.

Yea, the nitwit squad that don't do anything with their PC but play
with it and stare at the revolving circle that replaced the hourglass.

Well dumbass, you ever consider it DOESN'T work correctly IF you
attempt to do many things beyond the simplistic? That fact is easily
established.

What a bozo you are. Here's a suggestion. keep your moronic opinion
that Vista is wonderful to yourself. We got a deal?

But you just drive a car and do nothing else like install your own set
of brakes or a drive shaft. In a computer you are loading a software
and that computer may have so many variants not imagined by the
software writer. There can be thousands of combinations of
motherboards, memory, video cards etc etc and how do you expect the
software write to know about all the combinations to give you one that
works perfectly on your machine?

So it needs user intervention to make the software work for everybody
and calls for service packs.

Do you know that without a proper software driver Linux also fails to
work let alone install properly?

By the way I have nothing to do with Microsoft and am a happy user of
WinME - fully customized.

My 2 cents

Just to shorten your post down so people don't bother wasting their time
reading the rest.

The only thing funnier would have been if you said you were a "happy user
of" Microsoft Bob!
