Quicken 2002 will not load on my new laptop running XP
2000.

The support at Quicken say "critical files that are neede
to operate Microft Windows Virtual DOS Machine (NTVDM) 16-
bit subsystems are missing or corrupt. It says my computer
will not run 16 bit utilities".

What does this mean and how can I change or correct the
problem

I would go to windows update and make sure you have the newest version
of the microsoft virtual machine installed

Say no more; the problem has already been revealed. Of course Quicken
2002 won't load on your new laptop running XP 2000 because.....are you
ready.....there is no XP 2000. Problem solved.

Another very helpful reply from "Nobody". At least your date is
correct for a change.

Another top post from CS.

I was being sarcastic, I admit. If folks want good help, they need to
be pertinent in the details, and accurate. Is this XP? Windows 2000?
Does the OP even know? These little details can make a big difference
in any help given.
