QuickRestore problem on a Compaq

Hi,
When I try to launch my Compaq laptop I get:
" QuickRestore Can Not Continue - Error Code PQCFG-1 "
The whole screen is red with a blue rectangular and the letters are
flashing.

The only thing I can do is to hold the power button and turn it off.
I can then hit F8 and enter safe mode before this happens but that's it.

Could someone please help me with this.

This is a Compaq problem (the QuickRestore is actually powered by
PowerQuest). Contact Compaq/HP tech support to resolve this problem:
