If the Quick Launch button is on the taskbar, the width of the bar is
two icons. Otherwise, it is one icon.

Five minutes ago, the width was one icon with the Quick Launch button.
What could have happened? How can I get it back the way it was 5 minutes
ago?

The task bar is resizable, like a window. Put the cursor on the edge and
make it turn into a double-headed arrow. Then click and drag it to the size
you want. If you want to it be two icons high, just drag its top edge to
make it that size.

If you have toolbars on the task bar on multiple lines, you won't be able to
reduce the task bar size to fewer than that number of lines. Put all the
toolbars on one line first.

The task bar is one line. There are a number of icons on the right. Everything
is fine. Now I check Quick Launch. Suddenly I get two rows. The icons on the
right are also in two rows. I do not know how to make them one row.

Earlier today everything was fine. What happened?

Thanks.

As I said, you probably have another toolbar open.

Click the vertical divider to the left of the taskbar line, and drag it
to the right and upwards. After a little fiddling you should find a
point where the Quick launch toolbar moves to the left of the Taskbar
and you can then click the top of the Taskbar and drag it down to a
single line.

1. Right-click on Taskbar and uncheck "Lock the Taskbar" option.
2. Check the "Quick Launch" toolbar to make it appear on the Taskbar.
3. Notice there are too small and moveable lines around the toolbar or one
line near left side of the toolbar and another on the right side.
4. Start moving them near the Quick Launch toolbar. Adjust both these lines
near the Quick Launch toolbar. One on Left side and another on right. Once
both lines are on their position (one on left and one on right) and if the
taskbar is still in 2 lines then reduce the taskbar size.

Hope this information helps you, let us know.
