quick launch limit

i can only have 3 things on my quick launch, the rest are put in a drop-down
menu (that actually goes up not down). I've seen people with loads of icons
in their quick launch without the dropdown menu. how do you change the limit?

No worries: Right-click on the Taskbar and remove the tickmark from 'Lock the Taskbar'. Now you'll see the handles - that's what they're called - on the Quick Launch toolbar. Drag the right-side handle to the right to make the toolbar bigger. Now you can put more shortcuts in. Lock the Taskbar after if you like.

Unlock taskbar and dbl click the left hand border of QL. It has three states.

Right click on the taskbar. Untick "lock taskbar". Move the line of silver
dots on the left of the taskbar as far as you want to the right. Right click
on the taskbar again and lock the taskbar by reticking.
