Quick Launch icon shows properties but doesn't launch app

My system unexpectedly rebooted (apparently a device driver problem) and now
clicking a Quick Launch icon causes Windows to display the icon's properties
instead of launching the related application. This happens for all 12 Quick
Launch icons I have.

I know rebooting again will likely (I hope) fix the problem but does anybody
know why this is happening?

Thanks for your time.

Hi Troy,

When the system crashes, it's hard to tell exactly what processes may
have been running.

If a reboot doesn't clear it, try a System Restore to before the crash.
