Quick Launch for All Users

This has probably been asked and answered before, but I could not find it in
this group or the MS Knowledge Base.
I want certain programs/tasks to be available to all users from the Quick
Launch Toolbar, such as Show Desktop and Windows Explorer.
I have put the shortcuts in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch, but they do not appear on any
user's Quick Launch Toolbar.
Is there any easy way to achieve this or do I have to put the shortcuts in
the Quick Launch sub-folder for every user?

The Quick Launch is the space immediately to the right of the START
Button. If you cannot drag and drop icons into that area, you will have
to go to the extreme right section and RIGHT CLICK, then click on
PROPERTIES and check "SHOW QUICK LAUNCH"

Then you can start dragging icons to the Quick Launch.

I know how to get items on to the Quick Launch Toolbar, to resize it, etc. My
question still is, how can I get items there for All Users without having to
drag them there individually

Sorry about AndrewE. He is prone to saying things like that...
If you knew the path of the Quick Launch folder, would you then be able to
send the shortcuts to the various users' QL Toolbars?
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Quick Launch
I don't deal with networks, so from this point I cannot help you further.

Yes, I can copy them to each users C:\Documents and
Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch
folder and get them on everybody's Quick Launch Toolbar that way. What I am
looking for is a way to put them somewhere once so every user has them. I
would have thought this should be C:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch.
This is on a home PC running XP Pro, SP2. I have done some further digging
in the MS KB and while I cannot find a direct answer, I am beginning to
think that it is not possible

Sorry to hear it. It would have been no trouble for MS to include such a
feature, I would think.

Put them in the "Default User", then every new profile created gets a
copy. Each user is "maintained" individually and "Quick Launch" is not a
"shared folder" so the "All users" won't work. Any "Old" profiles will
need to be addressed one at a time or programmatically.
