Quick, but frustrating, question from newbie

I've had XP a couple of weeks. I'm running Office 2003. I set a tool bar
up so that when I slid my cursor to the very top of the screen the various
program icons for Office would show and I could click on them to start the
program. After installing some unrelated programs tonight, sliding the
cursor up to the top does nothing. I can't remember how I set it up. What
do I do to get it back?? :)

Thanks.

Since Office 2003 doesn't offer the old Office toolbar, it's likely you set
up your own. Probably using a right click on the taskbar and then selecting
Toolbars> New Toolbars and then selected a folder of Office shortcuts. The
toolbar would have appeared on the taskbar but by unlocking the taskbar,
the toolbar could be dragged and dropped to the top edge of the screen and
then setup to AutoHide. Does any of that sound familiar?

The other possibility is that you're remembering the Office toolbar from
previous versions of Office and are just discovering its absence in Office
2003.

Sharon,

Sure does sound familiar, i.e. setting up my own. You remember how to do it
but I couldn't remember how I did it....probably followed directions from
you from this NG some time ago!!!
I got the toolbar back and "autohidden." Don't know how it got lost in the
first place but I've learned to live with such things in Windows, as long as
I can recover.
Many thanks,

Chet
