I have made some changes to my website. I have added several pages. I
uploaded the new files. When I did this I got an error message "Server
error: Cannot open the "*.gif" for writing. When I tried it again I got the
following message: "Conflicts - Some items have changed on both the local
and remote web sites and are in conflict."

What is going on?

I am working in FrontPage 2003. Also when working with tables I keep getting
a blue border around each cell and I can't adjust the size of the cell. Is
there any way to turn this off?

Thank you.

Fay

No. I used the * because I got the message on two different gifs. Fay

wildcard (reserved character *) to name anything. Re-name the image file,
recalculate hyperlinks, then re-Publish.

otay.

If the xxx.gif's on your local machine are correct and the ones you want...and everything else on your local machine is correct and the way you want...tell FP to republish and overwrite files on your host server. After you've done this both your local and remote copies will be the same and you can switch back to publishing changed files only.

As far as I know it isn't a Unix/Linex server. But my server is in Florida.
They were down for a while yesterday. All of the pages went on but not the
graphics. I have accessed the remote web and tried to import the graphics.
Which didn't work. So I think I will just went and try again tomorrow.
Thanks. Fay

Are you publishing to a Unix/Linux server? The issue is server side related.

Tell me. At least they are smart and have a backup generator that keeps them
going for 7 days. They were down from 3 am to 11 am. What can I say. Fay

FL is not a good place to have your site hosted during the Hurricane season.
