Hi All!

I have tons of documents created in Word 2002 more than a month ago. I just
realized that I needed to apply different styles on most part of my
documents. I created new styles just right now and added them to my
normal.dot template. How will I make these styles available to all my
old/existing documents? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Ann,

Not easily.
Under Tools > Templates and Add-Ins you can check the box to update styles
from template. You do not want to leave this box checked, though. So you
have to close the dialog box, reopen it, and then uncheck the update styles,
and close it again.

Once that is done, if your change in styles is consistent, you can replace
one style with another using Replace. Click on the More button and then
choose Style under Format.

How do your new styles differ from the old? What is their purpose?
