Questions about Virtual PC

Please answer some questions about Virtual PC.

I know that Ultimate can be used as the host. Can I install another copy of
Ultimate as the virtual OS? Can I use the same DVD or does the license
prohibit more than one copy of Vista on the hard drive even though one is
virtual?

Can the virtual Vista be infected by spyware, malware, virus, etc? If so,
can the infection spread to the "real" Vista or is it isolated to the virtual
Vista? Can deleteing the virtual Vista get rid of the infection?

I'm just wondering because I'm considering options if my PC is infected. You
know, an image created before I install software or a clone of the C: drive
that I can switch to by swapping cables in the PC or a virtual copy of Vista.

Thank you.

1. One license, one install. Same as it ever was.

2. Yes, a virtual machine can be infected and yes, it can spread infections
that are designed to spread by network to non-virtual machines.

The solution to your need is disk-imaging software that creates a full
backup of your system that can be restored at need, followed by a regular
process of using that software to create and store backups of your system at
regular intervals.
