I bought a used computer a while ago.
Okay. Hope you formatted it and reinstalled as soon as you got it. After
all you have no idea what the previous owner did with it, put on it, has it
sending to them.
I assume it has an OEM version of XP PRO on it.
Why? Find out..

You can enter your product/cd key here and see if you qualiffy to buy
additional licenses. If you *do*, you have a retail edition. If you do
not - you have some other type.
Since OEM installs are tied to the machine, I am not doing
anything illegal by using this OS, right?
I have trouble following the logic behind the reasoning for this question.
You bought the machine. The OS was installed and hopefully came with the
installation media or instructions on how to restore it back to *original*
purchased state.. How could you be doing anything illegal?
I should be able to get SP2, right?
Sure.. Why wouldn't you?
The aforementioned machine does not have an internet connection,
how do i go about getting SP2 installed on that machine?
Download the full file (or have it done for you) and burn it to CD or order
the CD from Microsoft:
Direct Download of Service Pack 2 (SP2) for Windows XP

Order Windows XP Service Pack 2 on CD

There are 60+ updates after that...
