Moving OEM XP to another computer?

I'm seeing what the likelihood of success I'd have moving a copy of OEM XP
Home to another computer. We put the OEM on the computer, used it for
nearly a year, and decided we needed XP Pro. So we put a full version XP
Pro on the computer (about a year ago), and removed the OEM Home. Now, I'd
like to put the OEM on my Macbook, would I get rejected when trying to
activate it?

You should be denied, yes, as what you're contemplating is in direct
violation of the EULA to whose terms you agreed to be bound when you
first installed the OS. Do you also renege on other types of contracts?

An OEM version is ONLY valid for the computer it was originally
installed on. Once you replaced it with the full version, the OEM
version was dead.

An OEM version comes with several restrictions, but the most severe of them
is that its license ties it permanently to the first computer its installed
on. It may never be moved to another computer or sold or given away by
itself. So, I'm sorry to tell you that you may not do what you want.

This is the main reason why I never recommend buying OEM versions, but
recommend Retail Upgrade versions (which usually cost only slightly more)
instead. The OEM version is not a good value when you consider its
restrictions.

Thanks for the respectful reply.

I think the way around it might be to put the OEM back on the original
computer, and put the Pro version on a new one. and buy more Macs in the
future.

Your choice, of course.
