Question: XP Home --> Pro Upgrade Well?

I have a XP Home system. I want to upgrade it to XP Pro. Does the upgrade
go pretty smoothly? (i.e. All start menu items preserved, all program
installations preserved, all identities preserved, users preserved, etc...?)

I bought a refurbished dell laptop a while back and as soon as I got it I
did the upgrade to XP Pro. It went perfectly even though I never recommend
upgrades.
