Question re home page

My home page is set for www.msn.com/ It will not open, although the
indication that it is open completes, but the screen remains blank except
for the status bar which says MSN.com, and all of the other items on the
status bar. I can go to any other web page instantly; i.e. google, yahoo,
etc. What could cause this anomoly?

Try to go to msn.com by typing in URL address bar.
If this works, reset your home page url in IE or whatever browser you have.
Obviously it's incorrect or corrupted in some way.

Thanks for the advice, but I have already done that. The IE webpage does
finally come up but after a very long time. The other urls come up
immediately. Also, if I open Google first, for example, it comes up
immediately, and even when I type in the url for msn, it still hangs, but
eventually appears. I don't understand it.

Tell me what final URL addres looks like once MSN has loaded!!!

Do you have anything special loading when you opening MSN web page?
Anything related to MSN Messenger?
Do yuo have MSN Messnger 7.5 installed?

The url says www.msn.com/ when loaded.
Nothing else special loading.
No, I don't have MSN Messenger at all.

As mentioned, IE does eventually load, but takes a very, very long time, but
all other urls load instantly. As far as I know it's the latest version:
6.00.2900.2180

Sorry. I guess I'm at a lost. Same version IE i have.
Any popup blockers, security, privacy settings in Internet options causing
problem.
Spyware etc.
Sorry at a lost. maybe repost with different title. "Slow loading web page???
maybe some one else will read thread.
