question on word spacing

This is wierd.

Just trying to create a simple 1 page template for my ebay auctions and
can't seem to fugure out why it will not allow me to space my lines of text
below each other. Single line spacing. It keeps giving me way to much room
btween lines and I can't figure out how to set it properly.

Any help is appreciated.

You can use Shift+Enter to create a single line space.

I see that a template that I would like to use is single spaced but when I
try to add text it overwrites the single space and starts double-spacing,
even though when I go to paragraph, it says single space.

what gives?
