Question on VPN

I have a problem using a vpn connection because my network is a 192.168.1.1
/24 network and so is the server I am trying to vpn to. So although I get
to the network I cant do anything because my computer keeps searching my
network and not the network I am VPNed into.

Any Ideas?
 
wont this still cause collisions ? DNS will resolve the name to an IP
anyways and by default the system on the local net will respond to the
request. You really need to create a differetn subnet on your local net.
