Where do I change (set) such things as font & font-sizes (in fact, all
text characters including icon names) in my taskbar? I sure can't
find where? I must be dumb. Right now everything is too small for my
old eyes.

Thanks

There is no option to do this just for the taskbar. If you right click on
the desktop, choose Properties, and then the Appearance tab, there is a font
size setting at the bottom - this changes the font size for the taskbar and
the whole of Windows!

Thanks Dan

I have messed with Appearance many times, and it usually does nice
things for me. However this time the font changes I make are applied
to all of the desktop EXCEPT the task bar. At least that is how it
seems to me. In the appearance>advanced window, I am changing the
font type/size under 'icon'. Is that the place? This all started
when I purchased this new LCD flat-screen. With my old VGA, I never
noticed this problem, and I think I would have. I guess it could be my
RADEON 9200 video card.

No, changing it for "icon" only affects icons. You need to change the Font
setting on the Appearance page at the button - don't click the Advanced
button, there is no separate option for the taskbar so you will only end up
changing other settings. The problem is that you can't make the taskbar font
larger and not affect anything else - everything will be larger (although
you could override the Titlebars and Icons settings from the Advanced
options).
