Question Dealing W/ Outlook 2002

Steven Smith

I just recently started using Outlook 2002 as my default
e-mail client and was wondering...is there any way to
make it so that when I compose a new message or click a
link that directs to an e-mail address that Outlook 2002
not say "Starting Word as your e-mail editor...," because
that does get annoying sometimes, having to wait for it
to load up. Is there any way to change it so that it
just comes up as it does on Outlook Express?

Also, in Outlook 2002, there is sort of like an "Auto
Preview" in Inbox, where the actual message thats in
Inbox when single clicked can be seen in full on the
bottom half of the screen -- is there any way to do this
on "Sent Items", "Drafts", and "Deleted Items" as well?
I know there is a "Auto Preview" but it is not like Inbox
where the screen is divided in 2 and the message could be
seen in a single click rather than having to double click
for a new window to come up with the entire message.

All responses will be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

If you don't want to use Word as your e-mail editor, go to Tools |
Options | Mail Format tab and clear the checkbox for "Use Microsoft Word
to edit e-mail messages".

The feature you're referring to is the Preview Pane. To enable or
disable it for any folder view, click View | Preview Pane.
