I have set this thing up the same as outlook on my other computer, but it
keeps telling me the same error message, and it keeps asking me to type in my
user name and password for my email account. I don't know what else to do.
HELP!

Who is your email provider (probably the sames as your internet provider)?

What antivirus programs if any do you have?

What is the full error message you get?

This is so embarrassing. My password was incorrect. But, I have another
problem. It won't let me email send email outside of my email provide. For
instance, my email provider is through the school where I work, and I want to
send an email to a friend who has a Yahoo account. I had that similar problem
with Outlook and I fixed it, but I can't remember how. If you have any
ideas, I would appreciate it a lot. Thanks!

Does the connection to the school email provider go through some other
internet provider's equipment before it gets to the school? If so, any
connections to port 25 are often blocked to cause trouble for spammers.
In that case, you have two choices:

1. Add another email account using the first internet provider's email
servers, and use this email account to send from when you are at home.

2. Find out if your school's email servers listen to any port other than
port 25 for outgoing mail, and if so, the details of switching to the other
port.
