Yesterday, my son, during his online sessions, SP2 was installed
automatically on his portable PC.
Before, no action was taken to save a (good) working version.
After install of SP2 en after reboot, it seems that the resolution-settings
were set to a very low one, 640x480 ???
Now he isn't able to correct the wright settings because he can't reach the
bottom area at the settings-tab.
Can this be solved?

Hi

Try booting into Safe Mode and changing the resolution there.

The system couldn't start up.
When we start up the PC, the request page ask to select from a various list
of possibillitys, including "Safe Mode".
I tried all of them, but the PC start checking the memory and then loading
all the drivers. It looks every time the same. After loading and testing, the
progress blocks from XP appear and then .... we start all over again. The
system hang in to a loop.
There is just one possibillity, I can select to start up from the a disc, CD
or Hard disc. Probably there is the only way out.
Any suggestions
