Installing Win XP Pro SP2

Hey,

I just re-installed Win XP Pro SP2 on my laptop (Dell Latitude D810) and I'm
having the following problem : While starting up I get to choose between two
operating systems, both being Windows XP Professional... can't remember
having installed windows two times?! Does anybody know how I can fix this?

Here's what I did :
* Inserted the official windows cd-rom (not a manufacturer copy)
* Booted up from cd-rom
* Removed all partitions
* Created two partitions (NTFS)
* Installed windows on C partition
* configured regional settings during set-up
* rebooted when installation was finished et voila...

Thanks,
Davy

Boot into the working copy, then got to Start | Run | Msconfig | Ok. On the
boot tab click on Check all boot paths. It should identify one as bad and
offer to remove it.

From within WinXP, Start > Run > Msconfig, Boot.ini Tab > "Check all
Boot Paths."

To perform the same repair manually:

1) Click Start > Run, Type "Cmd" and then press <Enter>.

2) Type "Cd\" and then press <Enter>

3) Type "Attrib C:\Boot.ini -h -r -s" and then press <Enter>

4) Click Start > Run, Type "Notepad c:\boot.ini" and then press <Enter>

5) Edit the file to removed the extraneous line, save it, and then exit
Notepad.

6) Type "Attrib C:\Boot.ini +h +r +s" and then press <Enter>

7) Close the command console.
