Hi,

This isn't really an XP question, but if anyone could
help me out....Let's say I post a question in this
newsgroup. Then, a couple days later I want to see if
anyone answered it. This newsgroup is so popular that if
I use the >> button to scroll through pages until I find
my message, it takes forever. If I use the "Search"
button and use my name as the search criteria, it finds
my message quickly, but it only seems to show my message -
it doesn't seem to give me a way to get at the responses
to my message (if there are any).

Am I missing something?

Thanks,
Paul

Try using Outlook Express or some other news reader instead of the web site.

It depends what program you are using to read the newsgroups.

if you're using outlook express, make sure you have 'group messages by
conversation' selected

if you're using google groups on the web, click 'view thread'

otherwise let us know what program you're using and someone may be able to
help

Paul;

Use Outlook Express instead of Internet Explorer. If you plan on viewing
newsgroups more than once or twice it's worth the small effort to set it up.

The reason you're having such problems is that you are using the
web interface to read this newsgroup--it's the slowest,
clunkiest, most error-prone method there is. Do yourself a favor
and switch to a newsreader, such as Outlook Express, which comes
with Windows.
