Question about Microsoft Fax.

F

Frank Martin

I use Microsoft Fax with Windows XP pro
through a "SwannV90" external Modem.

I do not have Microsoft Outlook nor Microsoft
Powerpoint installed, and I use only Outlook
Express for mail etc.

When I use the Microsoft Fax I have to cycle
through too many menus Vis:

1/ I select print/fax

2/ This launches the Fax Wizard.

3/ Then I get a "Recipient Info" screen from
which I have to access a dropdown box to
select "faxes" from which I select the
particular recipient.

4/ Then I get a "Coverpage" screen which I
never need and which cannot be turned off
permanently.

Please help me to override the Fax Wizard,
and particularly the annoying "Coverpage"
screen so that I can send the faxes faster.

Also, after weeks of trying I cannot get the
Fax spooler to work. Can someone point me in
the right direction here?

Please help, Frank

The installation disk that came with the SwannV90 modem should also
have a FAX app that you can install and eliminate the XP Fax app. Check
it out for it probably is a lot better. Most Modem Fax apps that I have seen
also have the feature to eliminate the cover page. Look for a file that is
called Phone Tools, or something similar to that.

Oh, ouch.
A fax program better than Windows XP Fax? Say it isn't so.

I never thought to do this! I'll check it
out and report back.
