Question about Dantz Retrospect Express 5.6...

When I used Retrospect Express in conjunction with my old Maxtor Personal
Storage One Touch, it allowed me to make my backups using the native file
format without having to create a backup set and store it as one giant
backup file. I took my one touch external drive off and am using Retrospect
Express with another maxtor hard drive in an external enclosure and it does
not give me that option of backing my files up in native format. Is there
something I'm missing that I should specify to keep it from backing up to a
set rather than the native file format I want?

PS...when I pushed the one touch button on my old hard drive, it would
initiate a scrip where I could specify that, but since I'm not using one
touch, I don't see that screen anymore.

Thanks for your help!

You could probably ask Dantz directly, but I just installed a Maxtor One
Touch external usb hard drive for a client and the Retrospect Lite
included was really, really basic. It only offered the choice of full
or incremental backups and didn't show any options for the format of
the backups at all. I don't like data backups that are in a proprietary
format and Retrospect Lite wasn't flexible enough for my client's
needs, so I installed SecondCopy instead and just have it back up to
the Maxtor. I disabled Retrospect. YMMV.
