question about changing the search site

How can I change what site I use to search with using the
magnify glass button at the top of IE 6.0??
When I click on the magnify glass my screen clicks a few
times and then goes completly black with a small box in
the center that tells me to click on the enter button. I
didn't click it I just rebooted to get rid of it. Then it
did that automaticly when I restarted and I had to reboot
again and click on the help link really quickly to
prevent it from doing it again.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
than just those two programs. CWShredder is also available here:

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
