Magnifying glass

I must have accidentally done something to my mouse. From time to time a
magnifying glass window appears, and I can't get rid of it without rebooting
my computer. What does one do to acquire the magnifying glass? Better: what
does one do to get rid of it?

By default, Intellipoint makes the Forward button, on the side of the mouse,
the Magnify button. Go to Control Panel > Mouse and change the button's
settings to something else.

The magnifier is a default function of the forward auxiliary buttons on your
mouse.. click it TWICE..

Thanks. I could not find this in the Vista Help, nor in a Vista manual I
purchased.

You're welcome. That's because it is not a feature of Vista itself, but the
Microsoft Intellimouse that you own, and its Intellipoint software.
