Query regarding multiple email addresses for one contact and duplicate sending

I have Outlook 2000. For several of my contacts I have entered more
than one email address - ie Email 1, Email 2

When I address an email to one of these contacts, my message gets sent
to both of the email addresses I have for the contact.

Is there a way to make the program only send my emails to the first
email address - ie set a default?

Select the recipient from the Outlook Address Book, not the Contacts Folder.
