Quarantine restore

Items were moved to the quarantine folder under new
names. Nothing shows up in program's quarantine window,
so restore won't work. Any ideas?

. Hello Bill,
Have you tried running command prompt or search with
the first name of the files? Were the files deleted? If
so, try looking in the rec.bin.
Best of luck to you,
Ron J

I know where the files are, but they have been converted
to an unusable state by the program. I need to convert
them back.

I'm puzzled by this. If they were quarantined by MSAS, they should be
unquarantinable by MSAS, provided the files are left untouched in the MSAS
quarantine folder. If you have moved them manually out of MSAS's quarantine
folder, then they will have unhelpful names, and there is no way that I know
of to rename them back to their original names.

If they are MP3 files, they will have internal information as to what tracks
they contain, which should enable you to manually rename the file again.
But this would be an enormous task for a typical MP3 collection.
