"q" updates 4 example "Q819619"

I have been receiving periodic messages from Microsoft
with these "q" downloads. However, my anti-virus
software will not allow me to open the attachments.
Although I have ran the "Check for Updates" feature
several times and I am up to date, Microsoft still sends
me these messages with these "q" updates. When I try to
locate them, I cannot find them in the Windows web site.
How do I find them, and how can I get Microsoft to send
them to me so I will be able to open them? Please
respond to (e-mail address removed)

Those e-mails are most likely viruses. MS does not notify you of anything
unless you are on their mailing list and that would be by your request. They
never send attachments to e-mail. Don't open anything that says it's from MS
unless you are on their list.

Another thing, you have posted what appears to be a legitimate e-address to
a public news group. Expect a whole lot of spam.
