Puzzling Problem NEED HELP

Server = Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 x64 RAID 1
Client = Windows XP Professional SP2

The server has an E:\ drive. It is shared on the network. Clients have
permission to manage folders and files on this drive.

Here is the problem:

The client machine will create a folder. The folder is immediately visible
when viewed from the server; however the client machine needs to refresh
Windows Explorer before the change will show.

This problem is random. Restarting the client machine will usually fix this
issue for a while, but the issue always returns randomly. More than one
client on the network has experienced the same problem.

If you need more info from me I will be checking this post often.

Any help is greatly appreciated
Thanks

Whenever I see random problems like that, I first think of hardware.
Since it happens on various machines you know it isn't a particular NIC.
I'd check the ethernet cabling and the switch/router you're using to
connect the network.
