Putting caption with picture

A

Al Krismer

Hello,

I am putting together a website with various images. I am
trying to figure out how to put a caption or description of
a image. What is the correct procedure? I tried using
"insert caption' from the menu but got nowhere. I don't
know what I was doing wrong?

Thanks

Al

right click the picture look for "alternate" and put your text in the box
corresponding to the "alt text" tag.
this way when someone mouses over it the title will pop-up like a tool tip.

if you're doing the pics with the photogallery I don't know that you can add
captions. Otherwise if you're manually inserting images in for instance, a
table, then just put the description in a separate cell beside or under/over each
image.

What kind of captions?
if you've got FrontPage 2003 you can do some interesting stuff without hand
coding things (behaviors and layers).

is there an effect or style you've seen that you're trying to duplicate?

Depends on where you want to put the caption. If with the thumbnail, then
you can add text in the table cell, or in another adjacent cell.
You can also choose picture properties, (thumbs too) set the float and add
text *around* it. Works in a table also.

Hello,

I tried putting the image in a table with a separate cell
below with the decsription, but how do you get other text
to wrap to the right of the table?
