I downloaded a free template for frontpage and it saved it into "my webs."
So now the whole site had all my other files in it. I then published the
site and all that published was all the files. Now, I can bring up the file
but not the others and it won't let me republish. Can anyone please help
with this?

I, for one, don't understand what you are saying.

Were those the install instructions for your template to save it into you're
My Webs folder????

If I am going to use a new template package, I normally create a new empty
website and put the new template with all the files that go with it into
that new empty website.

Under your My Webs folder, each website should be in its very own website
directory.
So you wold have

My Webs
site one directory
site two directory
new test directory

Each one is then treated as its own website with only those files/folders
that pertain to it.
