Publishing ???

Using Windows XP Pro with FrontPage 2003. With every file and folder in one
folder on the computer I make changes using frontpage and then publish to the
web site. Seems simple enough. But wait - the index page does not update to
the new spelling. Try it again, same thing.

In publishing to web does frontpage publish only changes or all files? Can
another file supercede the index.html file? Why won't the index file update
the web site?

The index page is the home page of my site. I have a word on that page that
I changed, but the change never was posted.

Jay,

Try clearing your browsers cache. It's probably bringing up the previous
version instead of downloading a new one.

Check to make sure your index.htm page has not been changed to index.html during the
publish process.
FrontPage ( and all web publishing programs ) will do this if the server requires
index.html to be the "default" or Home page.
If so, rename your local copy to index.html and let FrontPage update links when prompted.
Then publish the renamed page.
Then open the live site and delete index.htm.
